This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit our website, book sessions, buy passes or gift cards or contact us. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors from the EU, on the GDPR.

2. Visiting the website
Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus, EU). When you open a page, the server stores technical data for a short time (IP address, date and time, page, browser) to deliver the website and keep it secure. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS).
3. Cookies
We only use cookies that are necessary for the website to work. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
pll_language– remembers your language (German/English), 1 year.wordpress_logged_in_…,wordpress_sec_…,wordpress_test_cookie– keep you logged in to your account, until you log out or up to 14 days.ps82_consent– remembers your choice in the cookie notice, 1 year.
You can delete cookies in your browser at any time. Without the necessary cookies, login and booking do not work. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
4. Contact form, e-mail, phone and WhatsApp
If you write to us, we use your name, e-mail, phone number (optional) and message to answer you. If you contact us by WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the data under its own privacy policy.
5. Customer account and bookings
To book, we need: first and last name, e-mail, phone number, language and – for sessions at your home – your address. We store your bookings, passes, gift cards, invoices and payments and, where needed, short notes from the studio (e.g. about your training level). With this data we manage your appointments, send confirmations, reminders and invoices, and contact you about changes.
For a Duett session, the person booking can enter the second person (name and e-mail). We create an account for her, send her the appointment and tell her who booked it. Please only enter someone who agrees to this.
For a gift card, we use the buyer's and the recipient's name and e-mail (and optionally phone) to send the gift card and create the recipient's account.
6. Payments
- Cash or bank transfer: we record the payment with your invoice.
- TWINT: you send the amount in your TWINT app to the studio. TWINT AG and your bank process the payment; we see your name, the amount and the message.
- Card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay) through Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). You enter your card details on Stripe's payment page – we never see your card number. Stripe tells us whether the payment was successful. Stripe may process data in the USA; see stripe.com/privacy.
7. Internal notifications
So that the studio can react quickly, new bookings, cancellations, payments and contact requests are sent to the studio team via Telegram (name, session, date, amount). Telegram's servers may be outside Switzerland and the EU.
8. Google Maps
On the contact page we show a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA). It is only loaded if you accept it in the cookie notice or click on the map. Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies. Links to Instagram and LinkedIn are plain links; data is only transferred when you click them.
8a. Offers by e-mail
We only send offers, promotions and news by e-mail if you have agreed (tick box when creating your account, in "My sessions" or in person at the studio). Every such e-mail contains a link to unsubscribe; you can also switch it off in "My sessions" or write to info@pilates-studio82.com. Appointment confirmations and invoices are not affected.
9. Photos and videos
Photos or videos of you are only used for marketing if you have given us your written consent (Marketing consent form).
10. Transfer abroad
Some of the providers named above (Stripe, Google, Telegram, Meta) may process data outside Switzerland, also in countries without an equivalent level of data protection such as the USA. In those cases we rely on the providers' contractual safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) or on your consent.
11. How long we keep data
Account data as long as your account exists. Invoices and payment records for 10 years, as required by Swiss law (Art. 958f CO). Contact messages as long as needed to answer them, at most 2 years. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; data we are legally required to keep is deleted when that period ends.
12. Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing and receive your data in a common format. Just write to info@pilates-studio82.com. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch); visitors from the EU can contact their local supervisory authority.
13. Changes
We adapt this privacy policy when our website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
